Blues & BBQ at Unwind After 5 at the Blue Front Cafe

The Bentonia Blues Festival related events kicked off early this year. The live music, food and more inside the Blue Front Cafe started Sunday night, June 14th, and has been going strong ever night since. In keeping with our tradition, the Yazoo County CVB is sponsoring tonight’s Blues and BBQ event, or what we like to call “Unwind After 5” at the Blue Front Cafe.

The evening will feature live music by Deeb’s Blues of Canton, Mississippi, as well as others who will join in and jam along in the oldest juke joint still in daily operation in the state of Mississippi. Our sponsored free BBQ will start at 6pm and will last until it’s gone. Get there early!

Of course, the free live blues will continue through the night leading up to tomorrow’s festival. Many have asked about a schedule of performances for the 2015 Bentonia Blues Festival. While most festivals certainly operate under strict scheduling, we hope that everyone will embrace the Bentonia Blues Festival as the authentic, down-home, country-style blues event that it is. The list of performers is below. The live music will start at 9am with live gospel, and the blues kicks off by 10 or 11 am (that’s how the Blue Front Cafe and the Bentonia Blues Festival rolls, y’all). *smile*
