Antique Days Presents FREE Tour of Glenwood Cemetery Saturday, October 20, 2018 10:00 am at Glenwood Cemetery Happy October! This time of year always brings with it fall colors, cooler weather, hunting season, fun at the Yazoo County Fair, the annual Ag Days event, and many calls to our office about tours to see the Witch of Yazoo grave and Glenwood Cemetery. It’s an exciting time… but visitors are usually limited in ways they can tour Glenwood, which was voted in a 2012 poll on Huffington Post as the 2nd “Spookiest Cemetery in the US.” Tours must be scheduled in advance and are usually held with groups of 20 or more. Yazoo Historical Society Annual Meeting 2017 The Yazoo Historical Society will be holding its annual meeting on Sunday, October 22 at 3:00 pm at the Triangle Cultural Center. The Yazoo Historical Society is getting an award from the National Daughter of the American Revolution to be given by the local DAR chapter! The YHS will also be giving an award to the winner of the History Writing Contest held in the spring in association with the Yazoo Herald. The Yazoo Historical Society will be electing new officers and Board of Directors for the next 3 years. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Yazoo County CVB Recognized As One of the Best in Mississippi Tourism Industry

Mississippi Tourism Recognizes Yazoo County CVB as one of the Best and Brightest in the State’s Industry Yazoo City, Miss. (September 26, 2017) – This week, the Mississippi Tourism Association presented a host of awards to tourism entities around the state during the 2017 Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Held at the Jackson Convention Complex, the awards ceremony showcased the best and brightest tourism organizations, staff members, volunteers and projects from across Mississippi. Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau received the Convention and Visitors Bureau of the Year award for the $500,000 to $749,000 budget category.
