About Mississippi Miss Hospitality

The mission of the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant is to identify, honor, and utilize young ladies between the ages of 18 to 24 for the purpose of promoting Mississippi’s tourism industry and economic development internally and externally by serving as the state’s goodwill ambassador. Since 1949, the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant has celebrated the intelligent and gracious qualities of young women across the state.

Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau is looking for young ladies from the Yazoo County community to become involved with spreading Mississippi’s hallmark hospitality. Not only will these ladies learn to promote their community, they will make new friends and future contacts.

Last year, twenty-five young ladies from across Mississippi competed for scholarships and prizes totaling more than $100,000. Emma Grace McGrew, representing Booneville, won the title in 2017 and will travel more than 30,000 miles to promote economic development and tourism for the state. Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant will be held July 20th and 21st at the historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater.
