About Yazoo County, Mississippi, and Yazoo County CVB

Located just 30 minutes north of Jackson, Mississippi, Yazoo County is a unique destination for leisure guests, individual business travelers, and groups. Our Mission

The Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) joins the interests of city and county government, trade and civic associations and travel suppliers to increase visitor traffic to our area. The Bureau acts as a liaison between potential visitors and those that host them. The aim of our CVB is to position Yazoo County as a regionally, nationally and internationally recognized destination by developing quality marketing programs and sales outreach to attract visitors to our area. All requests for funding from any group/organization will be filtered by this Mission Statement and must help us meet our goal of increased visitor traffic.

Open public meetings of the Board of Directors of the Yazoo County Convention & Visitors Bureau are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Yazoo County CVB office at 110 N Jerry Clower Blvd, Suite S, Yazoo City, Mississippi.

Our Communities

Yazoo County is physically the largest county in Mississippi. Yazoo County is considered a rural area. We are home to the incorporated towns of Bentonia, Eden, Satartia, and Yazoo City. We have many smaller unincorporated communities including Benton, Vaughan, Tinsley, Anding, “Little Yazoo”, Holly Bluff, Ziglerville, Carter, Midway and others.
