Yazoo Music Festival 2018 Main Street in Yazoo City will be filled with live music on Saturday, October 6, 2018! Save the date! Mark your calendars now! Be sure to visit our event page on Facebook. Fletcher Cox Hometown Hero Parade & Celebration When: Saturday, March 24, 2018 Where: Parade from Grand Avenue at 8th Street in Yazoo City heading north to the Yazoo County Fairgrounds Time: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Fletcher Cox is the latest Mississippian to win a Super Bowl ring. He was a standout athlete at Yazoo City High School who played football, basketball, and ran track. Cox was recruited to play football for Mississippi State University in 2009 and was drafted 12th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft. In his first Super Bowl appearance, Cox anchored the defensive line as the Eagles earned their first Super Bowl Championship in franchise history at Super Bowl LII. Yazoo County Miss Hospitality Tea Competition

Yazoo County Miss Hospitality Tea Competition The first ever Local Tea Pageant hosted by Yazoo County CVB will be held at the office of the CVB on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 2 pm. A local winner will be crowned. Please see the information below for details and requirements. Applications are due by Friday, March 30, 2018. The Yazoo County Miss Hospitality Tea Pageant identifies, honors and utilizes young ladies between the ages of 18 and 24 for the purpose of serving as the County’s goodwill ambassador to promote the travel and tourism industry and economic development. The winner will receive a Five-Hundred Dollar scholarship from Yazoo County CVB in addition to representing Yazoo County and competing for more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes in the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant in July.
