The Moving Wall

The Moving Wall Comes to Yazoo! The Moving Wall will be open to the public 24 hours a day from October 29 to November 2, 2015. Location: Intersection of Hwy 49 and SR 149 in Yazoo City 1490 E Broadway Yazoo City, MS 39194   THE MOVING WALL “The Moving Wall” is the half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for thirty plus years. When John Devitt attended the 1982 dedication in Washington, he felt the positive power of the “The Wall.” He vowed to share that experience with those who did not have the opportunity to go to Washington. John, Norris Shears, Gerry Haver, and other Vietnam veteran volunteers built The Moving Wall. It went on display for the first time in Tyler Texas in October 1984. Panther Swamp NWR Kid’s Fishing Rodeo

5th Annual Kid’s Fishing Rodeo hosted by Panther Swamp National Wildlife Refuge Saturday, May 20, 2017 What a great time of year to get outside with the kids and fish! It’s the 5th Annual Kid’s Fishing Rodeo. Grab your kids 15 and under then head out to Panther Swamp National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The event is free of charge. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults may assist the children but are not allowed to fish until after the event closes at 1 pm. USFWS will stock the Headquarters Pond with catfish for the event. Registration begins at 9 am. Children can choose to participate in BB and Bow Shoot Activities or fish in the stocked pond. Men’s Super Conference 2015 Brings Over 700 Men and Boys to Yazoo City

Men’s Super Conference 2015 The Mississippi Baptist Laymen’s Movement Auxillary of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention presented the Men’s Super Conference 2015 in Yazoo City, Mississippi on Saturday, March 28th with an attendance of over 700! The event, which included interactive classes for boys and men, a Bible Bowl, Sword Drill and Youth Seminar, took place at the McCoy Elementary School in Yazoo City.
